Manhattan Christmas

Today Mama took me and Oliver to see some Christmas sights. First we saw Lord and Taylor
I like Lord and Taylor best.
Oliver was surprised. he said there was nothing like that in the Carolinas.

Then I showed Oliver the big lion at the library wearing his Christmas wreath and we ran up and down the steps.

Then we saw the shops at Bryant Park and sniffed the plants.
It is nice to have someone to show the Christmas stuff.

He had no home or Mama so a lady brought him from South Carolina to find a family

He was smelly and hairy but Mama cleaned him all up and cut off some hair
He took a nap and had some good meals and now he is Oliver

A Day of Firsts

Me by the Bethesda Fountain
Me by a big field

Today Mama and I went to work, which wasn't my first time, but she also took me to Central Park which was my first time.  I rode the 6 Train for the first time. Mama took my stroller, so I could be on the train, because a dog has to be closed in a container. Trains are very noisy but I don't care. I was happy to be out with Mama.
We went to work on the Gaffigan Show. First we went to St. James Episcopal on Madison and 71st, which was my first time on the Upper East Side. There was a table to get food, so Mama got bacon and eggs, but I was too excited even to eat bacon.  Then we went to the park, which was a long way away. Mama pushed the stroller and that was good because then I had to walk with Mama to and fro, to and fro for a very long time. Mama had water for me, and we rested sometimes but then we walked again. A lot of friendly people said hello and patted my head.
I am a good worker.
The we went back to the church basement for lunch. Mama gave me pork and rice. I was very hungry.
In the afternoon it rained and we had to run under the steps by some big fountain for a while. Then we went back to work but Mama thought I was too tired so she pushed me in the stroller instead of walking me on the leash. That was very good. Then after a very long time we went back to the church and Mama went over to a table and I was afraid she was leaving me so I barked at her. She didn't leave me. We got our stuff and took the train home. Then I fell asleep. Then I ate and went back to bed.
Here's what I saw in the park: a lot of trees; a lot of grass; two ginormous horses; a fountain; lots of dogs; people playing with balls; Jim Gaffigan; a lot of little girls who petted me; a man playing a cello.

Tartan Day Parade 2015

This was my fourth parade to celebrate being a Scottish breed. I wore my usual outfit and heard the bagpipes, which I love. Plus cousin Toni came to see my parade.
