I thought I would like a lot of snow but it is very cold for my feet and I couldn't walk so well in the snow.

My sister Boodie was feeling very sick and she was very old.

I tired to make her feel better but Mama had to take her to the veterinary and the veterinary doctor said that he couldn't make Boodie better. So Boodie went to live with her Mama Fanny and Gabby.

We are very sad in my house.

Now that I am a big girl I don't need my Wellness Puppy which I am tired of anyway, so Mama buys me good Wellness Stew for big dogs. Also sometimes Granny's Potpie. And I still eat puppy kibble from Wellness.

Here is a scary lion on 33rd St. I hate to walk past this lion.

I am thankful for my fine new bone.

Mama took me to the Rivergate Veterinary for a procedure. She left me and I came home with a boo-boo in my belly and a collar to wear on my head.It is not like my Halloween clown collar.

Sometimes the Doctor comes and takes me for a ride in the Tardis. It's bigger on the inside. And I wear my bowtie because the Doctor says they're cool.

Here I am in my Halloween costume. I didn't know about Halloween except that at Boodie's school they had a party and Mama took us to the pet store for trick or treat. I had some venison treats from Wellness which is where my puppy food comes from.

I have three favorite bones. Two of them are new. I love my bones.

I know that Boodie wants them.

I went on a long walk with Mama, down to the river, again, then all the way to 25th Street where we walked up BIG stairs to a place with benches and grass and flowers (but no dogs on the grass) and then we walked over the road with cars zooming beneath us and back home.

I like to go to the river. Mama says "don't go near the edge" but just this one time she let me stand by the rail for a picture.

Then we went to see the pigeons. Mama says don't scare the birds. She also says that pigeons are dirty birds.

Here is another bird that I saw with Mama. Mama was excited because the bird had a white head.

Mama likes to look at birds when we go for a turn. I look sometimes. Here are some sparrows in the weeds.

I hate a bath. Mama said the water was very dirty so I needed a bath, plus I smelled like a salty peanut which I guess is not a good thing. But I don't think so. I used to jump out so Mama bought a thing to go around my neck so I stay in the bath. I told Mama I don't like it but she didn't care and then even gave Boodie a bath.

Eddy Over-the-Moon

I saw the moon looking like a great, big ball! I wanted it but Boodie said it was too far away.
I think I can just make it over the moon...

Sometimes Mama takes me to the courtyard behind our house for a chance to be off the leash. I run fast like a train chasing my ball, or just running from Mama. That is a good game.

I have another new toy which is a great, big blue ball like my little yellow balls. It came from New Jersey which is where I came from ! Mama said it was a gift from my Aunt Annie and my cousins Sarah and Lavinia who I met when I first came to my Manhattan home and one time they came to visit with Maya who is my other cousin and I hope she comes again so I can play with her.

I have two new toys.One is a pink pig which is a squeaker but I squeaked it so much that now it doesn't squeak, so Mama got me a pink nubby ball which is a squeaker. I didn't break that one yet. My sister Boodie had a tummy ache so I let her play with my new ball. Although she doesn't like to play with balls, only Scrabble and checkers, I think.

I have a lot and a lot of toys. I try to play with a different toy each day so they don't feel bad that no one wants to play with them. That is a lot of work but I hate for them to be lonely.

Mama took me to Dr. Jennifer for a procedure so I won't get hot. But Dr. Jennifer said I am already a hot dog and I have to come back in two months for the procedure.

Mama took me to a street fair. There was a big red place with make-a-believe snow flying around. I had my picture taken by a polar bear.

I like to wear a bowtie when I play with the Tardis. The Doctor says bowties are cool!

Sometimes I have to help Mama clean with the loud-thing.

Here is Boodie with two new friends, Coco and Lola. It is good to have a lot of dogs in the neighborhood, because there is always someone to say Hello to.

Here is my new friend Arthur, a chiweenie, which is a cross between a chihuahua and a dachshund. He is five months and I am only six months so we are both puppies together. He lives just across the street from me and is very sweet. I always look for Arthur when I come out for a turn.

Here are my teeth. Some are big girl teeth and some are still puppy teeth. Don't I look scary? But I'm not scary.

I have a new ring which is like the old ring except different colors.

Boodie had a boo-boo on her neck, and Mama put a bandage on her so she wouldn't scratch, which Boodie didn't like so I sat next to her under Mama's desk so she wouldn't feel so bad.

You may remember my picture when I was a baby of two months old.

I have another new toy which is a tree with squirrels inside. The squirrels are squeakers and once I pull them out of the holes they are fun to play with, but it is very hard to get them out of the tree. You may notice that I have a new haircut.

When the air conditioner is on Boodie is cold so she went in the little bed and had to have a blanket on her. I went in the bed with her to be friendly. She didn't even mind.

I have a fine new toy which is a make-a-believe bone with a lot of rings on it. It is very hard work to pull off the rings, but then the rings are fun to play with.

Mama has a new name for me: Eddy Two-Toys, because I like always to play with two toys at the same time.

I like to hide in my lair under the chair or under the cushion on my bed. Then I wait for Mama to look for me. She says Eddy, Eddy and I don't come out. She looks all over and can't find me. Sometimes I bark to surprise her and even then she can't find me. Then I come out and say Here's Eddy and Mama is very happy. That's a good game.

I lost another puppy tooth.

Here are two of my favorite toys. The lifesaver is fun to wear, and sometimes I use it to push my little ball. Or I put my ball in the middle and take it for a ride. Or I try to drop the lifesaver so that I catch the ball in the middle.
Sometimes I like to wear it on my head.

I had a busy Memorial Day weekend. First I met a new friend in my building, a bulldog named Bob.
Then Boodie let me try on her shirt from the Perkendahl Canine Academy. When I have mastered all my puppy skills I hope to join Boodie at her school and have my own shirt.
Then Mama gave me a bath and I sat in my box with all my toys to relax. I hate a bath.

What do you think? I lost a tooth! It came out while I was playing tug-o-war with my throwing ring and Mama. It hurt and I was surprised to see my little tooth on the floor. Boodie said that we will save it for the K9 Fairy. When we have nine puppy teeth we will put them under the pad in my bed and the K9 Fairy will leave a surprise.

Today Mama cooked just for us dogs. She made hamburger meat and chicken and rice and yams and carrots and smushed things together in a noisy machine until it was like dog food in the can. But it tasted better. I like the hamburger kind best, but Boodie liked the chicken.
I like Mama's food even better than Wellness Puppy.
I still eat some Wellness Puppy Kibble for the crunch.

I went to a street fair with Mama.I met a lot of new friends. Here I am with Lady Gabriella and another dog who didn't say his name. There was a lot of food being cooked but Mama said No.

Here is my new friend Lady Gabriella, aka Gabby who is a rat terrier. She is a nice dog and didn't grrr at me even though I am a puppy and a lot of dogs grrr at me.
